My OA Cousin, A Life Celebrated By Thousands
There I was at the funeral of my cousin. He was only 59 when he died. He had led a life many would consider “ordinary”. His business had never really taken off. He seemed to always be preoccupied with a friend’s needs or volunteer project.
As I sat there, I looked around to find well over 3,000 people attending his funeral—indicating his life was anything but ordinary. In a three-hour service, his reasonably successful business was scarcely mentioned. His faith, family and boundless generosity were the life descriptions highlighted and praised by all those that spoke of him. His life became an inspiration to me. It was an OA life and an OA moment for me.
